The Logan County Garden Clubs will not be responsible for any Entries left after 9:00 PM on Wednesday, Friday, and 8:00 PM on Sunday.

 
 
  RULES:  
  1.

Entries open to all residents of Logan County.

 
  2.

Exhibits must be Ticketed and Registered by 11:00 AM on day of Judging.

 
  3.

In all three Shows, all Entries not Registered by 11:00 AM will not be Judged and will be for viewing only.

 
  4.

Exhibitors may make two Entries in any Horticulture Class, provided each Entry is a different variety. All Classes must be declared on Entry Sheet. Tags will be printed and may be picked up the weekend before the Fair starts at the Secretary Office and should be placed on the Exhibits before Entries are brought to the Fairgrounds.

 
  5.

Exhibits not meeting the specifications of the Schedule will be disqualified. (Examples: Improper count when definite number is specified. Side buds left on those specimens to be shown as an individual bloom).

 
  6.

Horticulture Exhibits must be staged in clear glass containers, provided by the Exhibitor, except for miniature roses and gladiolus whose containers will be furnished by the Show Department. Container should be sturdy enough to hold Entry. No quart or pint canning jars will be acceptable.

 
  7.

Same Exhibits cannot be used in more than one Show.

 
  8.

Correct variety name on all Horticulture Exhibits will be given preference over one of equal quality without a name.

 
  9.

Plant material for artistic design may be secured from any source. No artificial plant material will be permitted. Plant material must be stated on 3 X 5 card.

 
  10.

Painted or artificially colored fresh plant material is never permitted.

 
  11.

The Staging Committee reserves the right to eliminate, combine, or divide any Class as necessary.

 
  12.

Open Judging by an Accredited O.A.G.C. Judge will begin at 12:30PM with quiet prevailing during
Judging. The building will be closed to general traffic during Judging. Exhibitors and Interested
Persons are encouraged to attend Judging. Those persons interested in listening to Judging will be permitted to enter the building.

 
  13.

Awards will be given at the discretion of the Judge whose decision is final. Any Award may be withheld at the discretion of the Judge.

 
  14.

The Exhibitor may accompany the Clerk to position artistic designs. A reasonable amount of time
will be allowed to place the design prior to Judging.

 
  15.

Wilted or broken material may be replaced by the Exhibitor, in the same position as Judged.

 
  16.

Exhibits are displayed at the Exhibitor's risk. Accessories and containers should be labeled with
the Owners identification.

 
  17.

All Classes are to be awarded Blue Ribbons for 1st Place, Red for 2nd Place, and White for 3rd Place. Sweepstakes awarded by the point system. From the Blue Ribbon Rose Division, the Judge will select one "Queen of Roses" and "Princess of Roses". "Best of Show" and second "Best of Show" Ribbon will be awarded by the Judge in the Artistic Design, Daylilies, Cut Specimens, and "Best of Show" in the Juniors Division, in the Tuesday & Saturday Shows. "Best of Show" and second "Best of Show" Ribbon will be awarded by the Judge in the Containers Grown Plants, and "Best of Show" and "Second Best of Show" in all other Classes combined, and one "Best of Show" in the Junior Division in the Thursday show.

 
  18.

Total Premiums of $5 or less must be picked up at the Fairgrounds. If not picked up by August 1, 2008, the Premium money will be returned to the General Fund.

 
  19.

Ages 18 and under can enter the Junior Division at no charge. The Junior Division is not eligible for
Premium money. Ribbons and/or prizes will be awarded.
